About the event

Join us as we explore the concept of "Finding Freedom." This interactive reading experience of "Book Comes Home" by Rob Sanders offers a look at censorship and the importance of thinking critically. Enjoy strolling around the museum and discussing the story together! Each panel is numbered and there are prompts along the way to encourage conversation and generate ideas. When you are finished, visit the reading bench near the playhouse on the third floor where you'll find a selection of banned or challenged children's books to view and read together. Open every Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM, through July 31. On July 4, the Watkins Story Stroll will be at the Douglas County Fairgrounds for Summerfest.
