Game On! Grades 6-8

Game On! is an exciting introduction to basic game design using the user-friendly, web-based game engine Construct 3. Designed for middle school students, this hands-on camp teaches participants how to create their own simple 2D games while introducing them to fundamental coding concepts in a fun and engaging way. Campers will explore essential game design elements, such as understanding sprites, making characters move, creating backgrounds and tiled environments, and using events and actions to bring their games to life. They’ll also learn about variables and data structures, gaining insight into how they control game mechanics and behavior.
