The festivities begin at 3 p.m. on 7th Street between Massachusetts and New Hampshire Streets, featuring live musical acts, food trucks, beverages from Free State Brewing Company, and freestyle soccer performers who blend breakdancing, acrobatics, and soccer. The night culminates with a watch party at 8 p.m. at Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts St., for the Algeria vs. Argentina match — a especially meaningful matchup given that Algeria is using Lawrence as its official World Cup base camp, training at Rock Chalk Park throughout the tournament.
