Celebrate National Fossil Day and Earth Science Week with us on Sunday, October 15, at Discovery Day: National Fossil Day! Join KU researchers and students, plus our friends from the Kansas & Missouri Paleontological Society for this special event at the KU Natural History Museum dedicated to exploring the diversity of life preserved in the fossil record. Learn about global change through time, hear about our paleontology field work and try fun hands-on learning activities for all ages. We’ll have amazing specimens on display from ancient plants to dinosaur bones, plus a dig pit where you can uncover local invertebrate fossils that date back over 300 million years!  Free.
