This Police camp is for children ages 14-18. There is another Camp for younger children.

The mission of this “FREE” two-week, daily event is for the Lawrence Kansas Police Department’s Teen Police Academy (TPA) to provide participating youth with a unique opportunity to learn about the specific operations of the Lawrence Kansas Police Department and law enforcement in general. Through this endeavor, we hope to offer TPA participants with significant awareness, knowledge and insight on criminal justice systems while developing positive relationships with our community’s youth. 

With School Resource Officers as the primary TPA instructors, they offer education and fundamentals into multiple facets of criminal justice and law enforcement services. Moreover, TPA participants are introduced to “life skills development” which translate throughout a lifetime.
